NEW IN Hey folks, hope you had a wonderful Eid holiday. I had so much fun yesterday with my friends and still gonna have fun the rest of the week even then though the Eid has finished. Yesterday, I got this Keds shoes from my aunts and uncles from Nablus - Palestine as a Eid's gift. It's like O-M-G my dream shoes, I've been trying to find one looks like it in the shops but I didn't. So glad that it's in my wardrobe now, I have to match it with some looks. Any suggestions?

BAKE THAT My favorite time of the year has arrived! Yes it's the spirit of Eid Al-Fitir! So happy to be in he kitchen with my family preparing Mamoul (the dessert we eat it in Eid), the smell of baking makes me crazy! This time, Ramadan went so fast, I didn't feel it and unfortunately, I didn't spend it as I always do, I had a lot of study and doing projects, and there was no enough time for reading the Holy Qouran and finish it. So, here is the pictures for Mamoul for this year!

I wish you ALL a very happy and peaceful Eid.
May Allah accept your good deeds,
forgive your transgressions and ease
the suffering of all peoples around the globe.
Eid Mubarak

PEACEFUL HOLIDAY Hope all of you enjoying a relaxing weekend. I'm making this post to tell you that I've just finished my mid-term exams in the university and I'm having a 9 days off (Eid Holiday). So happy to have some spare time, relaxing and doing stuff I love after hard days I spent between the books. I'm back to work with a lot to catch up on. Having my own business, leaving for one week comes with some pressure on the shoulders as I need to be able to come back and get the amount of one week of work done in just a couple of days. But oh boy I'm ready for it! My brains have never felt fresher ;)

New design of the blog will release soon .. Sorry for being late in posting this post

SO MANY THINGS are happening in this early year 2014. With the release of The New Ghandoora, I had to postpone my traditional and beloved Ghandoora birthday article which should have been released on the 17th on July. The date were I officially published my first post, back there four years ago on what began to be Ghandoora. This year has been full of surprises. So much joy, so many tears, so much stress, so much fun, so many things learned, a couple of mistakes, but above all… So much passion.
If I choose to show you on this blog only one side of my life, and let’s say, the best side possible, sometimes things happen behind the cameras and screens that are quite hard to deal with. It’s my personal choice to show and share only positive things with you even if I know that struggles can inspire and help as well. I think that positive messages help even more.
I decided from the beginning to keep Ghandoora a positive place, where you feel inspired with a healthy flow of messages and energy. I feel like they are so many websites right now that share such negative imageries and quotes with their audience, even if they don’t mean to I realize that some blogs just make you feel bad more than anything else. And I just hope, from the bottom of my heart, that sharing with you my adventures, or even simply my looks on Stardoll, inspires you, takes your mind off of something.
I want Ghandoora to be your precious, dreamy escape. Full of iconic images and timeless elegance. I do realize that a lot of the things I show seem so out of this world. The beautiful clothing, the luxurious trips, where does it all come from!? It seems so unreal. Well I can tell you two things, I worked like a mad person for every, single, bit that I show on this blog. I do not come from a super wealthy family and even if I did by pure pride and personal dignity I would have been willing to do my own way and earn my own rewards, although I totally respect other’s choices as well. All the trips, all the clothes are the fruit of hard work which I choose for now to keep behind the cameras to allow full concentration and to avoid spoiling the content.
Management is a big part of Ghandoora, James and I who are the two lead members of the team, spend day and nights organizing to the detail each partnership, each trip, each clothing piece so that the article are effortless and perfectly blended together. I highly admire Steve Jobs and his work for Apple, some don’t realize the work it takes to create something simple and efficient. And it is our goal, we want it to be simple and easy in just a click even if there were weeks, sometimes months of organization behind it. It might sound hard to understand but I think that people who own their own blogs might understand the concept a little bit better. When I didn't have a blog, I thought that all these girls were super rich gals walking around with their luxury bags and doing nothing of their lives but having fun. Which sounded quite enraging yet fascinating. Yet I’ve met a lot of bloggers and most of them are working like crazy to be where they are. It’s a very simple circle, the harder you work, the better your quality, the better the projects, trips, partnerships and clothing deals.
I want to be as honest and transparent with you guys and I think this is also something that defines Ghandoora, is that here, what really matters to me is you and your experience. There are so many messages I want to share with you daily, and I’ve learned so much through this year of 2013. But my most important message is that, no matter what happens in life, no matter what you’re going through or how many struggles you’re having, what really is important is confidence, hope and love. I know it’s sounds super cheesy. But it’s so true. Loving yourself, believing in your dreams, fighting for it is above everything else. Because who will love you if you don’t love yourself first, you will support your ideas if you’d don’t deeply believe in them and how could you believe in them if you don’t work hard? Pretty simple method isn’t it? I live day by day keeping this in mind and this is what allows me to keep my head high in difficult situations (and believe me…there were a lot of them in 2013) yet stay deeply grounded because even though one thing is achieved there is always so much more to do. Know who you are define what you want, follow your instincts, they won’t tell you wrong.
2013 has been a year of bless, and I know that 2014 will be the year of renewal. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GHANDOORA!!!! I hope you’re going to be as many, as adorable, as smart and loyal this year than you were in 2013 beloved readers! Ghandoora really has the best followers in the entire world, such a fresh, determined, motivated team. I love you all guys so much, from the bottom of the heart, and I hope we’ll be able to meet up in 2014! Lots of love and success to all of you, may all your wishes come true.

Finally, we can have Ice-Cream in hot days like these where temperature is 37c degree outside and we are about to melt! STAY HEALTHY Part one for some tips to stay healthy in Ramadan, today I'm going to share with you my Ramadan experience, Here is how I will stay fit and lose weight during Ramadan. Last year I gained weight, but this year, I have a plan:

At iftar, I start with a big cup of water because it fills about a quarter of my stomach space. Then, I eat three Dates with Saudi Coffee. I'll stop by this to tell you something; Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) recommended us to break fasting during Ramadan (iftar) with dates, dates decrease the great hunger feeling of the fasting person and prepare the stomach to receive the food after being inactive through out the day with activating the release of digestive secretions and juices.

Dates are very rich with sugary energy and so the body is supplied with the most important nutrients, finally dates protect the fasting person from having constipation as a result of changing meals times or as a result of having low fiber amounts in meals.

Then after I drink water and eat Dates, I eat a huge bowl of Fattoush (Lebanese salad with chunks of pita bread) or any kind of Salad which fills a bigger space in my stomach with more water-dense and low calories as well as a lot of fiber, vitamins and nutrients that we need during Ramadan.

After this, I try to make sure that the majority of my choices from the iftar spread of food fall into the green category with some yellow. I also try to eat smaller portions but don’t force myself to stop earlier. In fact, it happens unintentionally because I’m already full from the salad and the water!

As for souhour,  I make sure to eat with a piece of non-fat cottage cheese and a slice of whole grain bread and drinking green tea, It’s tasty and filling and helps me throughout the upcoming hours of fasting. Ramadan Kareem to you and yours and I hope you are having an amazing month and wish you good health!

VOLUNTEER I've always wanted to be a member in students union in the university, because I love to help others, learn new stuff and having new activities. Last week, I became a volunteer in 5twa (Step-Team) in Faculty of Business for three days in a row for exchanging books with the students for this summer course. It's such a pleasure for me to help other students as the others helped me when I was in my first year. Hopefully, new things are about to happen and I'm going to post the updates soon, so stay tuned.

ON THE TABLE Today, I'm back sharing with you this picture for a delicious lunch we had it before couple of days ago prepared by me! As most of you know, I really enjoy spent my spare time in kitchen, doing a delicious food, today's recipe is Meat Balls, it's so easy to do, just add peppers and salt to the meat with little olive oil and makes them into balls and on the heat for couple of minutes!

AUTUMN DAYS IN AMMAN For me fall weather has always been kind of strange, I feel like some days you're just kind of in between summer and winter and you truly don't know how to dress up! Should I throw on my coat or am I going to be too warm? Is a beanie too much, and what about a scarf? It's not always easy to find the perfect balance especially when there's an Indian summer going on.

HAPPY NEW YEAR While I was browsing the other day through my picture folders, trying to clean it all up and organize my desktop which believe me: started to look like a giant mess. And you know what, I found some pretty amazing things like this photo I took it when I was in the High School through my mobile phone camera 3.2 megapixels (I used to take my mobile-phone with me sometime, husssh, it's a secret hehe).

CAT EYES If you asked me about my favorite kind of makeup, I'd go to smoky eyes with apricot blusher and nude lipstick! This makeup is PERFECT for those girls who have blue or green eyes, but even though I'm having dark brown eyes color, I usually have this look when I go to special occasions at night or weddings. This time I'm sharing with you my newest mascara from MAX FACTOR and eyeliner from SEVENTEEN.

Before couple of weeks, I got a new mascara MAX FACTOR - False Lash Effectthis mascara gives good definition, length and a bit of volume. It doesn't flake or smudge throughout the day and the brush allows me to get to every lash. It's not waterproof, but it is very water resistant, so I'm highly recommended for it.

The other thing I bought it was the SEVENTEEN - Super Smooth Eye liner Pencil, usually I use the liquid eyeliner, but since the weather is start to get hot and much warmer, I start using the pencil eyeliner. Well, they are very smooth to start with, the tip goes on smoothly and just glides on your eyelids leaving behind a vivid color. Hope you liked this beauty review post, and tell me if you are using any of these.

INSTACANDY I know I know, I start getting lazy, summer is here, it's 37c degree outside, I'm melting, my brain can't thinking, just relaxing! Well, I'm absolutely in a summer mood and wish I could stay everyday on the beach, pool, drinking cocktail... But well, well we all know that's never gonna happen - either the holiday, travel come to an end or it starts to rain sometimes. Yes, damn but the good news not on Instagram.

That's why I love the community - people share beautiful life experience. A few days ago I saw a report about Instagram, where people were annoyed, that much is covered and it doesn't shows the real life. Yes, of course not, but we are more or less grown up or grew up with this technique and know that there is NOT every evening a lobster waiting on the dinner table - who has cooked itself and sings full of joy -  rather a bread with nutella - which looks relatively unspectacular. Life is full of small and big hurdles, nothing wrong with a platform where many people are focused on positive experience. I think it's more a good feature to focus on the good, as long we don't forget that we all have our own fights in reality. At least that is only my point of view. What do you think about it? Here are some of pictures I posted them on Instagram and Twitter before couple of months and I've forgot to show them to you.

One day, I'll miss this place and which to comeback to it, but I won't miss it's exams // Those kind of special offers I love!

Perfect start for everyday! // Empty Faculty of Business

Enjoyed the sun with my BFF // My eyes! #Onions

Friday is for friends! #TcheTche // It's ready! #Knafeh

Look how my friend's bag match with my choose! Need it in my wardrobe // Couple of hours before the Macro Economic exam!
